I maintain the opinion that the architects of the recent Iraq foreign military adventure had corrupt intentions. Although some of the more prominent members of the highly esteemed clique of neocons do sincerely believe they are doing the world a favor, there are the more powerful elements who saw this opportunity for what it is. And that it is nothing more than what has occurred throughout all of the twentieth century and before in the American experiment.

Historically recall elections are a healthy component of American politics where usually the elected official who is the target of the recall almost never wins. We only have to look at who was against this latest recall in California to see that first, many people do not understand the recall process, that second, it is again only about power and third we deserve whatever happens as a result of the recall process.

Breaking away...

Many economists describing today’s economy suggest the recent
trend of outsourcing jobs overseas is resulting in job losses the American’s should not expect to regain. In other words: a “jobless recovery”. Many currently unemployed Americans expect increasingly higher paying jobs that support the high standards of living we are all accustomed to as American citizens. The current situation is unfavorable and the outlook for change to a climate Americans are accustomed is precarious.

Following Ancient History

I have been involved in much of the discourse in the United States regarding specifically the Iraqi situation. Last time there was an Iraqi situation I was involved differently, not as a participant in the dialogue at home but as a soldier in the Arabian Peninsula. I thought then that it was a “just” war.

Democracy, American Style!

Would a just war have support from all constituents in America? Perhaps it may not. It may be important to note that a minority in fact accomplished the American Revolution. One third of the population were essentially British loyalists, another third of the people wanted to continue living in the climate of the day, and the last third promoted the revolution.
