The Republicans were quick to throw the current economic mess on Obama. It didn’t take too long before the repub’s started blaming Obama for the “daily” gyrations of the stock market for example.

However, Obama will in fact continue to make the situation worse. Even if Bush was still in office I can not differentiate between Bush and Obama economic policies. Both administrations have given the Federal Reserve all the power. So, yes, the very so-called stimulus plans that are proposed or in effect already would probably be the same no matter who was elected. Bush started the insane spending practices. People can argue Obama is worse but it won’t matter at all.

Bush took the power of the government to a new level and began a precedent of unilateral executive power now in the hands of conventional liberals.

The Repub’s would have at least some credibility if the outrage was the same over the last 8 years as it has been over the last 2 or so months.

But that’s politics, both of those are no different and the lemmings that support either never seem to wise up.

So here we are, the same fear tactic that led the country to war in Iraq after 9-11 is useful to lead the country into financial destitution. To be sure, when this mess is over and the U.S. and rest of world financial system has been remade into another likeness of increasing despotic power that stamps out free markets the world will continue but it will surely look different.
