Larry Elder, you're an idiot!

While I’m up and happened to read another lame counterpoint from a guy who can’t quite be the political talking pundit he wants to be.

Larry Elder, in this latest The Next Time You Say, ‘Bush Lied, People Died’ — Think

basically lambastes Will Ferrel et al from an NPR interview bashing the president and opines as follows,

I understand opposing the President on policy grounds. I cannot, however, get my head around people like Ferrell and company, who, in effect, tell wounded soldiers that they suffer not because President Bush thought the mission important for national security, not because the President considered Iraq a ‘grave and gathering danger’.

No, they endure their daily ordeal because Darth Cheney and his minion Bush lied — sending over 4,000 valiant men and women to their graves, with over 30,000 incurring wounds, in order to make their rich friends richer still.

Mr. Elder, you’re an idiot. While Ferrel and company are indeed exaggerating, how do you know there was no deception at hand? I prefer the soldiers are told something a little more accurate. Some soldiers believe that line others do not. No one opinion prevails I admit. But the soldiers don’t need to be told either way.

Those soldiers didn’t endure anything because of what Bush and Cheney believed. They endured those trauma’s because of what they themselves believed.

So its not about you Mr. Cheney, nor you Mr. Bush, or you Larry Elder.

I understand Larry Elder is incapable of admitting any guilt for his unequivocal support for this administration’s march to folly. He is too stupid. For others I hold deeper criticisms that I attribute to more nefarious reasons.

And oh, the “Larry Elder, you’re an idiot” line, in case you dismissed it as something not very redeeming, I took from Rush Limbaugh in 1993 when Clinton was elected and the actor Ron Silver during the inauguration looked at the fighter jets flying overhead claiming, “those jets are our’s now”.

Yep Limbaugh was in fact correct then as I am also now.

Its only a tug of war for people who want the most power to do as they wish. It is the ‘force’ few can disparage but that those in politics or not but still admire politics only envy. All of whom have no scruples indeed.
