What Palin and Prejean have in common.

The conservative voices have degenerated into a chorus of incoherent nonsensical lemmings. Today’s top beatnik conservatives who understand little claim to have a thorough understanding of every issue presented in the news. The usual characters here like Hannity, Malkin, Coulter, and others who parade through Fox news, have decided to promote Palin and Prejean as the types of people of high moral virtue and cleanliness.

Each of them are out with a brand new book to “capitalize” on or monetize their sudden popularity. Yes, liberals are hypocritical in their refusal to support women who would otherwise receive such support if it were not for the conservative drapes. But for some reason these loud, vociferous beatnik conservatives have decided to take a mistake by John McCain, who decided to try and one-up Obama’s blackness and nominate a woman, and “poach” upon the American a person who is indeed simple but not in an elegant way. Palin is just that, a simple minded middle class nobody, who found herself on a national stage with really only one direction to follow, where the only support to show up was the beatnik conservatives themselves. Astute enough at least to recognize the formula for success in that commodity of “conservatism” (like Glenn Beck) that combines the talk radio listeners of Limbaugh and Hannity with beltway wannabe’s and the lemmings in the general public who “purchase” the goods allowing her a chance to briefly cash in as she left her small town simple girl roots.

Palin is done with Alaska, resigning as governor so that she can safely monetize the current popularity. The same as the “porn star” Levi. He’s cashing in as well the best way he knows how. But he doesn’t have the beatniks supporting him, he’ll be better off in the long run, since I think he’s the only honest character against this pathetic display of commercial “conservatism” to come out of the McCain campaign for president debacle.

Similarly, for Prejean, the same supporters that provide Palin a platform to espouse “conservative” values have attempted to give the immature pageant contestant unwavering support for one simple seemingly conservative adopted statement about same sex marriage. While Prejean knows little or nothing about conservatism she found herself in a position that required her to adopt the conservative position or else lose support from the only group giving it to her. The same goes for Palin.

For Palin, and other career politicians, the current position is only a stepping stone for the next. Palin has no extraordinary fondness for Alaska or its bonafide simple citizens. What McCain has done is opened a door that led to this:

“…all of a sudden are thrust into the limelight and become intoxicated with it. And when a potential rift comes up, instead of handling it and maybe agreeing to disagree, they splinter and go off on their own.” Or decide to go rogue.

What is worse is that Prejean is finding herself in a battle and is unprepared professionally and mentally so that beatniks can boast loudly about their superior moral virtue with a burnt offering in the personae of Prejean and Palin.

Where have all the bonafide conservatives gone? Why do the people support a newbie or mental wimp who pretends rather than someone like Alan Keyes who argues the conservative position better than any other statist figure since Reagan?
