The late great Ted Kennedy
Mainstream media can’t say enough “great” things about Ted Kennedy. Now, supporters argue for passage of new health care legislation to rightfully honor his legacy.
Should we really care about “his” legacy? Is healthcare legislation for us or for him? Or is it being done to us? It’s absurd how he is being lionized for the droves of crappy big government legislation he worked so “tirelessly” to support.
But respect. Ah, yes, we must have respect or pay homage to the late great Ted Kennedy in terms of his sacrifice to the country. He is a hero. His great family legacy lives on in Obama.
No, the only thing I have respect for is his soul and that he is with God.
In terms of character, I will not denigrate or disparage it further on a personal level that he deserves.
In terms of politics and government. I deem his conduct and that of his leeching family despicable. And now another bad actor still haunts the Congress. Patrick Kennedy.
Whatever. He was born into the luxurious lifestyle he thinks he deserves. But public service is their calling. Its actually their honor they would claim. But how much sacrifice is it really? They simply wrestle with each other to see who can make it in the history books, be treated like royalty, live better than kings and act like spoiled disrespectful children.
What about those of us in the population who actually want government out of our lives? Where are those champions? Where is our voice? People that despise government stay away from it I guess. And therefore we let the robbers, riffraff, and whores run loose at every level of government.
And here we are with a national debt no one seems to care about. An economy abused and misused to the point of no return from Mexican peso bailouts to big bank bailouts and auto industry subsidies. Its all a story of outright thievery.
That is the legacy from Lincoln to people like Ted Kennedy in terms of government and politics here in the U.S. Come one come all you deserve it. Come get yours and simply defecate on the rest. I am no more deserving of anything than a legal immigrant fresh into the U.S. But I also don’t deserve a government that steals from me in the form of taxation so it can provide grants to people for free education, a subsidy to run your business, credit for free healthcare, and so on.
